We have an web application under development. ASP.net MVC 3.0 with .net framework 4.0 and the database is in sql server 2008 the application runs in IIS 7.0
How can we create an upgrade patch in terms of new developments in the database. Currently we create sql scripts and send it to our release team to run the scripts on the database. The issues with apporach are
1. time taking for the release team,
2. we are unable to track the data base versions
The updates may include adding extra coloumns, Stored procedures, Views, new tables and also in some cases default data.
Is there any easy way to do this like creating an update installation package in terms of database changes?
